Common questions
My Mac doesn’t show up.
Make sure the iPhone and the Mac are on the same network, and allow Mini Screen in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network. You can also tap + and enter the Mac’s IP address or host name.
Mac account or VNC password?
Use your Mac account (the Mac’s login name and password): the connection is encrypted by Apple, the picture is faster, and High Performance Mode is available. A VNC password is for other VNC servers and is not encrypted.
How do I connect when I’m away?
Turn on Remote Login (SSH) on the Mac, or use WireGuard or Tailscale, then choose that network in the connection (Pro). Mini Screen never changes your Mac or router settings and has no relay server.
High Performance Mode won’t connect.
It needs Mac account sign-in and UDP between the iPhone and the Mac (the same local network, or through WireGuard / Tailscale). If it fails, the app shows an error instead of quietly switching to the normal picture.
How do I restore Pro?
Tap Restore Purchases in the app’s Settings while signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles refunds for In-App Purchases at reportaproblem.apple.com.
